Learn SOLIDWORKS by thinking through the problem — not just getting the answer.

What are you working on?

THINK → HINT → GUIDE → EXPLAIN

An educational initiative by 3Designers CAD Studio.

Why this approach matters to educators

AI should not replace the student’s thinking. It should help the student think.

Four adaptive levels of help.

The Student Companion adjusts the amount of support to the learner and the situation. Depending on the question, it may encourage reflection (THINK), offer a clue (HINT), guide the reasoning (GUIDE), or provide a direct explanation (EXPLAIN). Students do not have to pass through every level in order. The goal is not to delay answers. The goal is to create useful thinking whenever the learning opportunity calls for it.

The goal is not to prevent students from accessing answers. The goal is to make sure some thinking happens before the answer.

This describes the methodology behind the Student Companion. The Educator Copilot applies the same framework from the educator's side, and is available to approved educators.
